Terms of Use

1. Provider and Scope

SONGFIT (songfit.app) is operated by Paul Holaschke, contact: Paul_H@gmx.at (the "Provider"). These terms apply to all users of the platform. By registering, you agree to them.

2. Service

SONGFIT is a free online music quiz. Users guess the artist and title of music previews and can compete in various game modes. There is no entitlement to specific features, uninterrupted availability, or continued operation of the service. The Provider may change or discontinue the service at any time. SONGFIT is in beta: features may change, and bugs, data resets, or downtime may occur.

3. Account

Using SONGFIT requires an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. One account per person. Your chosen username must not violate third-party rights and must not be offensive, discriminatory, or misleading. You can have your account deleted at any time (contact the Provider by email).

4. Fair Play and Prohibited Use

The following are prohibited in particular: manipulating game results or leaderboards (e.g. through multiple accounts or technical interference), automated access (bots, scraping), interfering with the technical infrastructure, and any use that impairs the service or other users. In case of violations, the Provider may suspend or delete accounts and remove leaderboard entries.

5. Music Previews

The 30-second previews played in the quiz are provided through Apple's iTunes/Apple Music interfaces and are streamed only ("Music previews provided courtesy of iTunes"). All rights to the music content remain with the respective rights holders. Links to Apple Music may contain affiliate identifiers (Apple Services Performance Partners); the Provider may receive a commission at no cost to you.

6. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and without warranty. The Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or the accuracy of game content (e.g. song data and answer options, which are partly generated automatically). The Provider is liable only for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health; any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. The operators of external links (e.g. Apple Music) are responsible for their own content.

7. Changes

The Provider may amend these terms with effect for the future. Users will be informed of material changes at their next sign-in or by email. If you object to a change, you may no longer use the service; your account will be deleted upon request.

8. Final Provisions

The law of the Provider's domicile applies: Switzerland. If individual provisions are invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Information on how we handle your data can be found in the Privacy Policy.
